A number of our homes currently welcome older people who live at home or with relatives to come to a home for a day or part of a day.

These are some of the reasons people use this service:

• To enjoy the company of other people as a break from being at home alone
• To get involved in activities and entertainment
• To have  frail or older relatives looked after and give carers a break
• To enjoy a meal or have their hair done
• To have a bath or shower where assistance is needed

There may be other services people wish to use. Please tell us.

Day services are charged by the day or half day, and the rate depends on the amount of assistance a person requires. A half day is up to 4 hours; over 4 hours is a full day.

People who are fairly independent and come mainly for social reasons pay the standard rate; those requiring assistance from carers with, for example walking, using the toilet or bathroom, help with eating, pay the higher rate.

Meals are included in both rates. We do not provide transport.

All our homes provide some day care services; contact the individual home to discuss or e-mail us with an indication of what services you need and where you live and we will suggest the most suitable home.

Coming Soon

Many of our homes have 1 or 2 rooms designated as short stay rooms. These can be booked in advance and are generally used by people who are cared for by family members who need a break. Rooms are sometimes available at short notice. Click here to see current vacancies.
