Overview:

Bamford Close is a modern purpose built care home for older people located in Cale Green. The home is surrounded by beautiful, secure gardens, yet is close to the town centre. There is a local pedestrian shopping area close to the home as well as the varied amenities of the town centre. All care homes are inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our overall aims are to provide residents with the highest standard of care in a homely environment.

The home is single storey, and all resident areas are wheelchair accessible. We offer small group living. There are 4 units, each with 10 bedrooms and its own assisted bathing and toilet facilities. Each unit has its own lounge and dining area, and in addition there is a large central lounge area where residents may choose to spend time.

This area is also used for activities during the day when a number of people also attend for day care. There is a varied activities programme including daily chair aerobics. There are also regular events and entertainment when all residents may wish to join together.

The staff at Bamford Close are dedicated to providing care for the individual needs of the residents. We are responsive to ensuring that the rights and feelings of individuals are respected. We encourage and enable people to make choices about their own lives, and welcome the continued involvement of families where that is what people want.

Our latest project involved a group of residents and staff taking over part of the garden to grow their own vegetables.
