Overview:

Bryn Haven was one of the company's first homes to be rated "Excellent" by the Independent inspectors.

It is a two storey building set in its own gardens on Brinnington Road close to the health centre and St Lukes church.

The home was refurbished and extended recently to a very high standard. It has 41 bedrooms, 40 of them single rooms including 17 with en-suite facilities. There are a number of lounges and dining areas, so that people have a choice about where they spend their time. There is a large conservatory which provides a bright and airy seating area, often used for organized activities. The garden at Bryn Haven is well used; there is a greenhouse and vegetable plot where some residents and staff have been growing fruit and vegetables over the last couple of years. A recent addition is a summerhouse which enables the garden still to be used even when the weather isn't ideal for sitting outdoors. In the better weather there is a patio and other seating areas.

Bryn Haven currently cares for a wide range of people. Some areas of the home are dedicated to caring for people with dementia and other mental health problems. Other areas care for people whose needs are for mainly physical support and assistance.

Whatever their needs, we aim to provide people with a clean, friendly and caring environment, with care provided in the way they wish. We try to ensure that people are encouraged to be as active as possible and retain as much control over their own lives as they are able to.

We do our best to ensure that people have something to do. Our recent activities have included computer games and cards, crafts and baking, as well as trips out and entertainment coming in.

Our current residents tell us that the food here is great, and our cook goes out of his way to ensure that the menus are varied and appetising.
