Overview:

Lisburne Court is a purpose built care home situated in Offerton, and easily accessed by bus from Stockport town centre. It provides 41 single bedrooms on the ground and first floors, most of the living accommodation is on the ground floor.

The home provides long stay care for older people with dementia and other mental health problems. We also offer day care for up to 4 people per day, Monday to Friday.

Lisburne Court aims to provide a bright and stimulating environment with a homely atmosphere.

Our lounges offer residents a choice as to where they wish to spend time, whether it be in one of the quiet lounges or an area with more activity.

We provide a varied activity program, which incorporates the needs and abilities of the residents in the home. Residents are able to check the notice board daily for the activity that day and the month ahead. The individual activity plans ensure that residents can enjoy stimulating activities they enjoy.

A qualified Aroma Therapist offers relaxing treatment every week, free of charge. We also arrange a variety of trips out for the residents, which this year have included trips on the canal and trips out for afternoon tea.

Our cooks provide a varied menu which aims to accommodate our resident's preferences. Alternatives to the menu are always available and special diets are catered for. Our cooks provide good wholesome food that is well prepared and presented.

Our secure gardens are well used when the weather is fine and seating is provided in both sunny and shaded areas of the garden. The gardens can be accessed by several exists and there is a ramped exit for wheelchair users.

We are hoping to develop 'Friends Of Lisburne Court' with our residents families to encourage them to become more involved in the care of their loved ones, and to assist us with fundraising ideas and events for the coming future.
