Overview:

Silverdale is purpose built residential home for older people in Bredbury with secured landscaped gardens. Silverdale was extended and refurbished 2 years ago to a very high standard, and has 47 single rooms, 19 of which have en-suite facilities. Silverdale is close to a variety of local shops, a chemist, various pubs and restaurants and there are also lovely scenic routes in the surrounding areas.

Silverdale is divided into five units each with its own lounge, dining room and small kitchenette for residents and relative's use.

Staff at Silverdale have been trained to care for people with dementia and each unit has a team of care assistants working to meet the residents individual needs.

Day care is available at Silverdale and day care users are provided with their own lounge/dining room along with a member of staff who cares for them and provides a range of daily activities. All service users are encouraged to maintain their independence.

Prospective long term residents are welcome to bring in small items of furniture and personal belongings with them, to help them feel at home.

Silverdale has a lovely garden, with seating areas and a pond where you can sit and chat with your family and friends. There is use of a telephone; however you can if you wish have one installed in your room.

At Silverdale we seek to achieve a warm comfortable happy environment, where residents can maintain their own independence and be involved in all decisions that affect their life.
