Overview:

Wellcroft is located in Gatley and stands in its own private landscaped gardens, providing accommodation for older people on a permanent or short term basis. The home caters for ladies and gentlemen over the age of 65 with varying degrees of mental impairment. In addition day care places are provided each day.

The building has recently undergone a programme of extension and refurbishment and now has 39 single rooms, nine of which have en-suite facilities.

Wellcroft is a care home which accommodates older people suffering with mental health problems. The home's internal environment offers small group living and this, we feel, is useful in providing familiar and recognisable areas for residents.

Relatives and friends are given support in voicing concerns, encouraged to be part of the individuals care at all stages, and to give as much information about their relatives or friends as they think will be helpful in maintaining their interests and preferences.

Wellcroft has an activity programme in place and a designated member of staff who provide a varied programme that everyone at the home can be involved in. The home is close to a range of pleasant shops in Gatley village, and some residents are able to visit these in the care of staff or relatives.
