We provide a range of care services and have developed these in line with the needs of our residents, their relatives and friends.

Intermediate Care Services:
These are services which assist people, particularly older people,
returning home following a hospital stay, or, occasionally
preventing hospital admission. Services can be delivered in number
of settings, and concentrate on rehabilitation, helping people
regain their independence and confidence.
Borough Care provides a range of intermediate care services, on contract to statutory purchasers, over the last nine years. Each resident is admitted with a plan of what is hoped they will achieve during their stay. Our staff will assist with these tasks as well as provide any personal care required, and a visiting team provide medical and nursing care.
Short Stay Services:
We not only provide a permanent home, but many homes offer short
stays to help people over a difficult period, for example, when
carers are unwell or on holiday.
Long Stay Services:
Long Stay care is for residents in need of assistance with
activities of daily living. At Borough Care we realise that
choosing long stay care can be a difficult decision and aim to
provide 24-hour support for older people who want to enjoy life to
the full in a comfortable home-from-home environment.

Extra Care:
This service supports people with fairly high level needs living in
specially designed sheltered housing facilities. The service
includes sleeping night staff and waking night staff.
Catering/Food:
We consider good food to be an important part of our resident's
daily experience. Our chefs work hard to ensure quality and
satisfaction, working closely with residents to ensure they are
offering them the right choices. We serve three substantial meals a
day, along with snacks and refreshments throughout the day. All
meal times are flexible and new ideas are welcomed. If a special
diet is required, we are happy to provide it.
Activities and Events:
At Borough Care we aim to enhance the experience of our residents
and take into account individual interests, skills, experiences,
personalities and any medical conditions. We offer a wide range of
activities designed to encourage the residents to keep mobile, and
importantly take an interest in life.
Traditional organised events include:
- Arts and crafts
- Music
- Games and entertainments
We also broaden the scope of activities to suit individual preferences. All Borough Care homes have gardens and gardening is a popular activity. Others enjoy a walk around the garden or simply sitting and enjoying the fresh air. Other popular activities include baking, exercise and helping with housework.
Outings are arranged regularly and are geared to residents' needs and capabilities. These include; canal boat trips, visits to the zoo, small trips to local shops, pub lunches and visits to local garden centres.
Visitors:
Relatives and friends are very important and are welcome to visit
at any time. We encourage our residents to be as social as
possible, providing areas they feel at home and comfortable in. All
homes have quiet areas where you can entertain guests, and all have
tea and coffee making facilities for visitors. You may, of course,
prefer to entertain guests in the privacy of your own room.
