At Borough Care we consider our staff to be the foundation for our high quality standards. We understand that qualified, motivated and valued employees are vital to delivering high quality service. We work hard to recruit the right people ensuring full security checks are conducted, disclosure from CRB, other checks required by regulations and satisfactory references.

Borough Care is Investors in People accredited and has a systematic and structured approach to training. We are committed to supporting the continuous professional development of staff through training and qualifications with a high percentage of the care and housekeeping staff  qualified to NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Health Care and other relevant areas.

Staff Training includes;

  • Induction Training for all new staff
  • Mandatory Training covering the health and safety of residents
  • Company Training requirements to ensure all staff the skills and understanding to serve our customers
  • Care Partnership Training where we work with other providers and commissioners of care in Stockport
  • Qualifications in care including the safe handling of medicines
  • Management Development enabling employees to progress and be professional in their work

All staff working within the homes have regular supervision with senior staff.
