Nestled in Bredbury, Silverdale is a lovely, welcoming care home where residents feel right at home.

Surrounded by scenic routes, it’s perfect for gentle walks and enjoying fresh air, and comfortable bedrooms ensure everyone has their own personal space. The gardens are peaceful and full of charm, including a colourful fish pond where residents can sit, relax, and watch the world go by.

Life at Silverdale is full of warmth, laughter, and little joys. The home is alive with music, with many old favourite songs playing throughout the day to bring smiles and memories. Residents love the on-site cinema, complete with cosy seating, a popcorn machine, and Hollywood memorabilia for fun movie nights. There’s also a beauty salon where local nail technicians and masseuses visit, making it easy to enjoy a pampering treat and feel completely cared for every day.

Home Manager

Jade Martin

Jade Martin has been part of the Borough Care family since 2010 and has been Home Manager at Silverdale since 2020.

Growing up around care homes, with her mum also a former Borough Care Manager, Jade was inspired by the warmth, dedication, and bonds between staff and residents. That sparked her passion for care, which continues to this day. Jade loves leading the Silverdale team, saying they’re truly special—always working together to make every day enjoyable, meaningful, and full of comfort, laughter and support for all our residents.

Mum moved into Silverdale 4 months ago and I’m delighted that she now seems settled. Her physical health has improved considerably and she is eating and drinking better. The management are exceptional, their commitment to the residents in their care is evident in all aspects at Silverdale.They have made a difficult transition easier than I could have ever dared hope and all our family are extremely grateful.

My mother has been a resident at Silverdale care home for around five years suffering from dementia. I can honestly say that the care that she has received during this time has been exemplary. The staff are friendly ,caring and professional , always ready to help when asked. They make what is a difficult situation bearable. My mother has always loved music and.dancing, and the sight of her smiling as she dances along to the regular singers is heartwarming.
