Last week, residents, relatives and colleagues from our Staffordshire homes came together once again for another wonderful tea dance at Wetley Rocks.
Residents from Hen Cloud House in Leek and Shoemaker Place in Stone, accompanied by their family members, embraced the country and western theme, dusting off their cowboy hats and boots for an afternoon packed with fun, friendship and entertainment.
The event provided a fantastic opportunity for residents and relatives from both homes to spend time together, meet new people and enjoy a change of scenery. As always, there was plenty of delicious food to enjoy, alongside lots of laughter and conversation.
The entertainment began with a performance from Borough Care’s very own Vince, who treated everyone to a selection of country music classics. His performance had many residents singing along and set the tone perfectly for the afternoon ahead.
The celebrations continued when country duo Big Skies took to the stage, performing a variety of well-loved hits that soon had the room filled with music, smiles and plenty of toe-tapping. Before long, residents, relatives and colleagues were up on their feet enjoying some line dancing and making the most of the lively atmosphere.
Events such as our tea dances are a wonderful example of how our homes work together to create meaningful experiences for residents, helping people to build connections, enjoy new experiences and continue living their lives in colour.
A huge thank you goes to everyone involved in organising the event and to all those who attended and helped make it such a success. We look forward to the next Staffordshire tea dance and another opportunity to bring our communities together.
