Exploring your options

Thinking about how to pay for care can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help you every step of the way. How much care costs depends on a few things, like savings, income and the type of support needed.

Some people pay for all or part of their care, while others may get help from their local authority. Our team can guide you through your options, answer questions, and make the whole process simple, so you can focus on finding the perfect home for your loved one.

State Funded Care

State- funded Care

State-funded care can help with some or all of the costs of care, and it’s worth exploring if you’re eligible. The process begins with a financial assessment, where an officer will visit your loved one’s home to discuss their savings, income, property and pensions.

This helps to identify what support might be available to you. If you’d like to know more or start the process, contact your local authority who can provide guidance and answer any questions about funding options.

Privately-funded care

If your loved one isn’t eligible for state-funded care, planning how to self-fund is the first step.

Privately-funded care means your loved one covers the cost of their support, giving you flexibility to choose what works best for them. If savings later fall below the eligibility threshold, your local council may be able to offer extra financial support.
