Easter Celebrations

Residents and staff celebrated Easter with various Easter themed activities taking place across the weekend at the homes.  A special Easter Sunday lunch was enjoyed by residents and there were lots of eggs and other chocolate treats on offer to mark the occasion.

Residents at Lisburne Court in Offerton had a special visit from motorcyclists participating in the Roughleys Bike Show Egg Run.  The bikers were collecting Easter eggs for the Together Trust, a charity that offers care, support and special education services to children, adults and families across the North West.  Lisburne Court residents and staff had been collecting Easter eggs to donate.  The bikers enjoyed hot drinks and croissants before heading on their way to deliver the eggs.  During the Easter weekend, residents also enjoyed making and decorating cakes. Jean Northrop had great fun helping make Rice Krispie cakes topped with mini eggs, which she couldn’t resist eating before they made it onto the cakes.

There was plenty of laughter and fun at Shepley House in Hazel Grove, as residents and staff enjoyed an Easter party with lots of singing and dancing.  Residents also munched their way through Easter eggs and enjoyed a glass of fizz with their Easter lunch.

Residents at Meadway Court in Bramhall got involved in cake making and participated in an Easter raffle.  An Easter card making craft session and flower arranging were enjoyed at Marbury House.
