There was even more love than usual across our homes on Sunday.
Our ladies were showered with gifts, cards, glasses of fizz and a special Mother’s Day menu.
Bamford Close hosted a cheese and wine afternoon, with lots of music and dancing. The weekend also included celebrations for two members of staff who are mums-to-be. Surprise baby showers were thrown for Care Assistant Chloe Douglas, who finished work on Mother’s Day for her maternity leave, and Housekeeper Dalcylea Hamill.
Meadway Court was decorated for Mother’s Day and there were flowers and chocolate treats for female residents. At Marbury House, residents spent the morning flower arranging and all the ladies received a floral gift, which they were delighted with. Lisburne Court was decorated with fresh roses and balloons and there were gifts of chocolates for the ladies. During the afternoon, a cream tea was served for residents, their families and friends.
A cream tea was also enjoyed at Silverdale, while residents at Cawood House in enjoyed a performance from entertainer Lucy Hope on Saturday so mothers could spend time in the company of their families on Mothering Sunday. Over at Wellcroft, residents were treated to a Buck’s Fizz breakfast followed by a pamper session. Later, residents tucked into a buffet before finishing the day relaxing by watching a movie.
Everybody had a great day and all of the homes look like florists with all of the beautiful flowers on display.
