Bruce Lodge is a modern two-storey building with secluded landscaped gardens offering pleasant views from their outdoor balcony, overlooking Woodbank Memorial Park and Vernon Park in Offerton.
The recently refurbished home is a purpose-built dementia care home with wide corridors and a light and airy environment. Structured around clusters of small households, and staffed with carers who have extensive knowledge of personalised care, it is ideally suited to those living with dementia.
The home has transformed its central atrium area into a bustling Market Place, complete with a 1950’s style café, florist, post office, hat shop and even a telephone box! Memorabilia, in keeping with the vintage spirit, adorns the area creating a warm and welcoming space for residents and their families to meet up or relax.
“The coffee shop in the market place is definitely the hub where our residents sit and spend most of their time enjoying a coffee, cake and lots of nattering!” – Rosaleen Charles, Manager
