Cawood House is a two-storey care home, situated on the Brinnington estate close to Brinnington train station. The home offers a large and beautiful garden where residents are encouraged to spend time in the better weather. If the weather can’t be relied upon, Cawood House has an indoor, sensory garden, or, if residents are feeling lively, a welcoming pub known as the Cawood Inn.
The home provides spacious living accommodation for 42 residents who enjoy views from the attractive garden room with games and even table football.
Cawood House has a full time Activity and Lifestyle Facilitator to ensure residents are entertained, stimulated and continue to integrate with the local community. Activities include: a sports project in partnership with Life Leisure Stockport, aimed at keeping our residents fit and healthy; a weekly dementia social work; and, thanks to strong ties with the local community, plenty of opportunity to get out and about in Brinnington. Cawood House is the first home in the Borough Care family to invest in a spa bathroom. The bathroom includes a state of the art bath designed to be both safe, accessible and enjoyable for elderly people.
“Here at Cawood House we love interacting with our resident’s family and friends so that we can deliver the most personalised care plan possible. Our highly trained and experienced staff have been accredited with the prestigious NHS Daisy Award for dignity and care, so you can feel safe and secure in the knowledge your relative is well looked after.” – Lisa Murphy, Manager
