Borough Care is guided by a combined Board of Directors, bringing together full-time executives and independent non-executive members with valuable expertise.

Rob brings over 20 years’ experience in financial, operational and strategic leadership across social care. He has held senior roles at The Children’s Society and as Managing Director at MioCare Group. With his dedication, vision and proven leadership, Rob helps shape Borough Care’s future. Outside work, he enjoys time with his children, being outdoors, and— like all true fans— hopes for better days for Manchester United.

Isla is an experienced Chair and Non-Executive Director, passionate about tackling health and social inequalities. She champions engagement, giving people—including those with dementia or learning difficulties—a real voice in shaping services. Isla also leads NHS and care boards, runs a consultancy, and enjoys time with her two children and her lively menagerie of pets.

Rekha is Chief Executive Officer of Petrus Community, bringing over 30 years’ experience in community and social care. Always passionate about learning and helping others, she is studying for her MBA and volunteers as a tutor, supporting women working towards degree-level qualifications, inspiring them to reach their goals and make a difference in their own lives.
Non-Executive Director
With over 30 years in health and social care, Dorothy brings wide-ranging experience across NHS, local authority, voluntary, and private sectors. Passionate about person-centred care, she works alongside people with lived experience, championing collaboration and co-production to ensure services are meaningful, supportive, and truly reflect what matters most to those who rely on them.
Non-Executive Director
Ian brings diverse leadership experience from the Co-op, Tesco, and the Soil Association, and serves as a non-executive director with Waythrough, supporting mental health and recovery. A local resident with personal care home experience, he is passionate about helping residents live their Life in Colour, championing brilliant people to deliver vibrant, meaningful and compassionate care.

Karen has worked in social housing for nearly 40 years, including as Chief Executive at Southway Housing Trust. With experience on boards and partnerships, she has led age-friendly initiatives across Greater Manchester, championing research, awareness, and innovative housing options. Karen is passionate about improving later-life living, helping people enjoy independence, comfort and vibrant communities.

Day-to-day operations are guided by our Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team, who champion both resident care and employee wellbeing. Their dedication ensures homes run smoothly, fostering compassionate, safe and lively environments where residents enjoy life in colour and our teams feel supported, inspired, and motivated every day.
Nicola joined Borough Care in February 2025, bringing over 20 years’ experience in senior finance roles across telecoms, property, and healthcare. She works with the Executive Leadership Team to support financial stability and help maximise positive impact for residents and communities. Outside work, Nicola enjoys family time, keeping active, and spending time outdoors.
Finance Director
Dawn brings over 30 years of experience across all levels of the social care sector, most recently serving as Chief Executive of Eden Futures, before joining Borough Care in 2023. Outside work, she loves exploring the Lake District on long walks and relaxing with a good crime novel.
Operations Director
Janette joined Borough Care in March 2022 and brings over 20 years’ experience in HR leadership across a range of sectors. She is passionate about creating inclusive cultures, supporting people to grow, and making a positive difference to working lives. Outside of work, Janette loves long countryside walks with her dog and enjoying relaxing short breaks by the beach.
