Bamford Close ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“My brother is very happy and very well cared for and has settled in well. Obviously Covid has played a big part this year. Nothing is perfect (we live in the real world), but the care has been excellent. Any issues have been dealt with quickly. I have taken great comfort in knowing my brother is in the best place for his needs and they are being well met. I have over 20 years’ experience in the caring profession which gives me an insight and understanding of issues faced during this past very trying year. Bamford Close has been excellent, anyone who knows me professionally will tell you I have very high standards and I do not give praise casually.”

Bruce Lodge ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“My mother has only been at Bruce Lodge for a couple of months and has been made to feel very welcome. The management team is very helpful, as are the rest of the team. The Receptionist always uses your name and helps with making drinks so that you can enjoy the time with your relative. We are so glad that we chose Bruce Lodge as the team really does demonstrate that they care – taking time to really get to know the residents. The consistency of carers for mum makes a huge difference, as she is starting to build better relationships with everyone. We all feel confident that mum is in very safe hands.”

Bryn Haven ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Bryn Haven is a fabulous place. I’m a carer who looks after a lady who went in in June for respite. She had a great time and all the staff looked after her as it was her first time in a care home. The conservatory was lovely, especially when I visited. All precautions were adhered too. Lots of things going on if you want to join in or a quiet place to sit and relax. My lady cried when she had to come home which told me she was well looked after, and I would recommend Bryn Haven to anyone who has doubts about placing their loved ones into care. Exceptional staff and lovely people to talk to. Well done to all.”

– Angela (Wife of Resident)

Cawood  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“My husband has been in Cawood House Care Home for two years. I have never been met with anything other than kindness, courtesy, respect, concern, and a good sense of humour from the manager, assistant manager, and staff. The facilities are clean and hygienic, and everyone seems warm and cosy in the communal room and bedrooms. My husband can be withdrawn and yet the staff have managed to coax him into activities, keeping him busy, happy, and entertained. It is wonderful to be reassured that we found the perfect home.”

– Catherine (Wife of Resident)

Hen Cloud House ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My Mum in law moved to Hen Cloud House in September following a fall which resulted in a broken hip and a lengthy stay in hospital. Mum has gone from strength to strength. She looks so well! This is due entirely to the dedication and care from all members of the team at Hen Cloud. Nothing is too much trouble. From hair and nails to birthday cakes and family get-togethers, staff will do their utmost to facilitate. In addition, the surroundings are those of a 5* hotel. We have thoroughly enjoyed our visits to the garden room for fish and chip suppers and an amazing surprise birthday tea! Thank you all for everything you do.”

– S T (Daughter-in-law of Resident)

Lisburne Court ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I actively chose Lisburne Court for my mum, due to their warmth and transparency, especially during Covid-19 times. Mum arrived in February, and I immediately saw a huge positive change in her. This was very comforting. The staff are genuinely caring, friendly and experienced. They work so hard to get to know mum’s individual needs, care and personality. Communication and updates from the staff and management are brilliant. Food is good and varied. They have a very caring activity coordinator who does an incredible job.  Mum has absolutely flourished, she is happy and vibrant due to the care, company and enrichment she now receives, it is such a relief. I can spend quality and happy time with mum as she is living her best life within her capabilities now, thanks to Lisburne Court. I now not only look forward to seeing mum, but I enjoy seeing the staff too.”

Meadway ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My mum arrived in June 2017 for a short stay while we found a home for her. We trailed the whole of Stockport and under pressure chose the best of a bad bunch. I walked into Meadway defeated to tell my mum, who in so many weeks and months had gained so much independence and happiness in such a short time at Meadway, to explain that I had found a bed in a home, the best in a bad bunch but nothing like Meadway. Within a few weeks she was given a room at Meadway and I have never ever looked back. My mum is having an amazing time and the staff at Meadway are outstanding. This is by far the best in Stockport and Tameside.”

– Fiona (Daughter of Resident)

Reinbek ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“My mum has been a resident at Reinbek for just over five years. In all this time my mum and I have been totally happy with the care she has received. Mum enjoys the food and the extra special effort that the staff make on things like Easter, Christmas, bonfire night, Halloween etc. The home is well kept, and the cleanliness is of a high standard at all times. I personally find the staff very caring for my mum and when mum has not been well, I’ve been kept fully informed. I would recommend the home to anyone looking for residential care for their loved ones.”

– Carol (Daughter of Resident)

Shepley House ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“All the staff at Shepley House are brilliant. The managers, carers and all other support staff really care. They work really hard to look after the residents. My parents always look well cared for. When my mum was dying, nothing was too much trouble. She was treated so kindly, and her dignity considered at all times. In difficult circumstances, myself and my sister were also looked after so we could be with her in her final hours. The support emotionally for Dad was excellent too. Thank you to all of you.”

– Jane (Daughter of Resident)

Silverdale ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our mum was in Silverdale for 6-months; she received palliative care and end of life care there. The manager and every one of her staff accommodated me for 4-days and nights; they gave me more time with Mum, were so empathetic, kind and gave Mum the best 6-months of her life. I have been a Care Assistant for most of my career and know how hard it is in this profession. Silverdale, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, not only did you look after Mum, but your staff looked after me while I stayed by Mum’s side; you gave myself and my sisters more time with Mum, and that’s time I will cherish; your staff are amazing. Wouldn’t have picked a better place for Mum – you are amazing.”

– Christine (Daughter of Resident)

Shoemaker Place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Well what can I say, Shoemaker Place is a truly warm, friendly, welcoming, organised and above all professional, responsive, compassionate and high-quality care provision. The home from home and nostalgic environment makes both residents and their families feel this is the best place for themselves and their loved ones. Each staff member is happy, so a happy team makes happy residents. The home is spotlessly clean, aesthetically pleasing, cosy and light. The choice of healthy home-cooked menu is varied, tasty and attractive. There is a real bespoke service to residents to ensure their individual needs are met. I feel so reassured not only for my in-laws themselves but also to my spouse who just does not worry or has to mitigate additional needs as the leadership team are so responsive. I just love the variety of creative activities and professionalism: always working in partnership with residents’ family members. A huge thanks to you all at Shoemakers!”

– Kim (Daughter-in-law of Resident)

Wellcroft ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The effort made by every member of staff for the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations was absolutely incredible. The effort made by the staff at Wellcroft is amazing on a daily basis but the atmosphere they created and maintained for the entire celebrations was really fantastic. It was so thoughtful the way that the residents families were made to feel so welcome, and I feel sure the staff must have been thrilled with the results of their efforts. Eight members of my family attended on both Friday and Saturday. Young and old enjoyed themselves and we would all like to say a massive thank you.”
