When Silverdale saw that resident Lilian’s 100th birthday was coming up, they asked her how she would like to celebrate.
Lilian said “I’ve always loved Christmas with my family, so I’d like a Christmas party to celebrate my 100th birthday!”
Activity Lifestyle Facilitator, Lindsay got to work planning the big Christmas-themed bash, creating a Winter wonderland in the home, including Christmas trees, decorations and a themed-menu!
Lilian has been a resident at Silverdale for almost five years. She has three children, Lynda, Marion and Victor, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who attended the party yesterday.
Lilian’s family were thrilled with how the party went and were moved to tears when they saw the effort that Silverdale had gone to. The food was amazing and the family complimented the Catering Team on the fantastic spread.
They wanted to say a big thank you to Lindsay for all of the hard work she put in to celebrate their mum’s big birthday. They even asked if she could plan all of their birthday parties!
The new Mayor and Mayoress of Stockport attended the party and brought Lilian a card and some beautiful flowers.
