Spooky Celebrations

By 1 November 2019Borough Care News

We celebrated Halloween this year with some seriously, spooky celebrations! Our residents, visitors and staff got fully involved in the packed schedule of events we had taking place across our homes.

Some of the highlights included:

Marbury House holding a fancy-dress competition with a prize for the scariest costume! This was followed by a Spooky Buffet and then a selection of scary DVD’s for those who dared.

Silverdale residents helped decorate the home with a crafty pumpkin carving activity ahead of Halloween, while on the day itself, they took advantage of having their own cinema in the home and screened ‘Hocus Pocus’.

Bamford Close residents had the opportunity to design their own witches’ hat to wear at their Halloween party. The party was open to all visitors and featured a petrifying performance from singer Shaun Sloane.

Reinbek also enjoyed some Halloween craft activity, making spooky lanterns with a local Beaver group that they displayed at their Halloween party.

Shepley House’s Halloween Party featured singers Peter and Anthony, with decorations made by the residents. They also enjoyed a ‘Trick or Treat’ game to provide extra entertainment which staff, residents and loved ones thoroughly enjoyed.

We hope you enjoy our monstrous montage of pictures from the celebrations.
