2nd Annual Residents’ Appreciation Awards at Lisburne Court!

Lisburne Court celebrated their Residents’ Appreciation Awards today, for the second year running! The awards were attended by residents and staff, who spent the morning decorating the dining room, complete with red carpet and balloons.

The home prepared for the awards by creating ten categories and asking staff to vote over the last few weeks for the residents they felt deserved the awards. There were three finalists in each category with the winner receiving a trophy, and the runners up getting a medal and goody bag.

Residents enjoyed a glass of fizz as ALF Laura announced the recipients of each award, before being entertained by singer Karen. Laura said ‘Today is all about you, the residents. We feel everyone here is deserving of an award as you are all very special people in so many ways.’

The awards are a fantastic way to recognise the contribution that residents make in their home and to award their talents, so a huge well done and thank you to Lisburne Court for such an amazing afternoon – we hope to see more of our homes holding their own Residents’ Awards this year!
