As Borough Care continues its journey to become a true ally of the LGBTQ+ community, we are celebrating, raising awareness and holding a variety of activities across the homes, marking the 17th year of LGBT History Month.
We have lots planned and will be inviting our staff and residents to join webinars and workshops, where they will have the opportunity to learn more about why celebrating our LGBTQ+ communities is so important, as well as recognising some incredible, inspirational people from throughout history who have paved the way and spearheaded monumental change.
As well as learning more about the subject, our Activity Lifestyle Facilitators (ALFs) have planned a huge amount of fun activities throughout the month for residents to get involved with, including arts and crafts, games and coffee mornings where residents will have the opportunity to share stories and speak to others about their experiences.
We’re so excited to be continuing to support our LGBTQ+ communities however we can and can’t wait to see what our residents learn throughout the month and beyond!
We’ll be sharing lots of updates of the activities across our homes on our social media channels, so be sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date.
