🐰 Happy Easter! 🐰

Across our care homes, Easter offers a lovely opportunity for families to gather and celebrate cherished traditions together.

Whether it’s sharing a meal, eating chocolate treats, or simply enjoying each other’s company, Easter always brightens our care homes each year. It’s a lovely reminder of the importance of friends and family, making Easter a special and heartwarming time for all involved!

Borough Care would like to wish a very happy Easter to everyone celebrating today. Here’s how our homes are marking this special day!

At Reinbek, housekeepers are dressing up as the Easter Bunny and handing Easter eggs out to residents, followed by families arriving to enjoy a lovely Sunday lunch. Earlier this week, ALF Michelle arranged an arts and crafts session, where residents came together to create an Easter mural.

 

Cawood House are going to spend some time planting new pots for their garden, in preparation for the warmer weather. They will get together to watch some Easter movies in different lounges and enjoy plenty of goodies.

At Shepley House, they have a big Easter party planned, with music and games including pin the beak on the chick. Residents will each get their own little Easter basket, and earlier this week, residents made their own Easter Eggs!

 

There will be church service in the morning at Shoemaker Place, followed by Easter lunch, with plenty of Easter eggs to enjoy after! Later in the afternoon, a singer will drop in to provide entertainment for everyone. Last week, Shoemaker residents got into the Easter spirit by making colourful decorations for the home, which turned out beautifully!

 

At Bryn Haven, residents made Easter bonnets on Good Friday. Today, they will enjoy a lovely Sunday meal, followed by an Easter egg hunt. Wellcroft also have an Easter egg hunt planned, with ALF Jade as their very own Easter bunny! Each resident will get a chocolate egg, and the team have also made some sweet cones to hand out. 

Bamford are having a big Easter weekend! They had a pantomime on Saturday, a singer coming in to entertain residents on Monday. Residents will enjoy their Easter eggs today and a lovely lunch together. Earlier this week, they spent some time making some very fetching Easter bonnets.

Hen Cloud House are having an Easter fair with a pony coming to visit! They will also be joined by a singer. The catering team is putting on a special menu for meal time for families and residents. Bruce Lodge have decorated the home for Easter and will also enjoy a lovely meal together. Meadway spent a day during the week making Easter cakes and will get together today to eat lots more chocolate and see their loved ones.

Silverdale held an Easter crafts afternoon on Thursday, and will getting into the spirit of things this weekend with lots of chocolate treats, a lovely meal and quality time spent with loved ones. Lisburne Court are holding an Easter crafts morning and then in the afternoon they will watch an Easter film while enjoying their Easter eggs.
