Borough Care is delighted to share the news that we are opening our thirteenth care home in late 2024 in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire!
It will be our third care home in the region, alongside Hen Cloud House and Shoemaker Place. The state-of-the-art 76-bed care home will provide much needed new facilities and will boast a cafe/restaurant, cinema room, hair salon, activity room, six lounge/dining rooms, a sun terrace, and a private courtyard. Mercian Developments Ltd will begin work on site later in the year.
Dr Mark Ward, CEO of Borough Care said, “Our new care home will be a wonderful addition to Uttoxeter, providing a home-from-home for older people and fantastic employer for carers in the area. It is Borough Care’s belief that everybody should have the opportunity to live life to its fullest, regardless of their age or capabilities. We are looking forward to becoming a valued and integral part of the community in Uttoxeter.”
Borough Care is not just a fantastic place to live, but to work, too. In 2021 we became the country’s largest residential care provider to receive a real living wage accreditation from the Real Living Wage Foundation, and with clear career progression, fair pay, and a range of benefits on offer, the hiring team look forward to announcing plans for a recruitment drive in 2024.
What’s more, with strong ties to the local community and partnerships with others who help extend our range of services – such as regular visits from hairdressers, nail technicians, massage therapists, entertainers and more – our new Uttoxeter home will be a fantastic addition that benefits the entire community.
