Despite lockdown, our Easter celebrations were packed with fun crafts, delicious food and some celebratory tipples, which helped to put a spring in the step of our residents and staff.
We’ve got some lovely pictures from our homes, including an amazingly skilful array of Easter bonnets from Bruce Lodge. Wellcroft took the fun outside to make some colourful Easter Buckets in the gorgeous Easter sunshine followed by an Easter Egg Hunt on Bank Holiday Monday. While Silverdale spent some time larking around with some Easter themed fancy dress, as well as making, and writing Easter cards to their families and friends. And Bryn Haven put the best china out for a delicious Easter Sunday roast with all the trimmings, with Easter Eggs for dessert.
Our Chief Executive, Mark Ward and Chair of the Board, Isla Wilson, sent some Easter cheer to each of our homes to show their appreciation for the fantastic work staff are doing, and the amazing resilience of our residents who are coping so well with lockdown. They delivered over 1,000 Easter Eggs to each of our 11 homes across Stockport, just in time for Easter Sunday.
We continue to be awed and inspired by the amazing job our teams in the homes are doing. We are so grateful that our carers are here to protect the most vulnerable in our communities from this virus, while at the same time ensuring every resident continues to live their lives in colour!
