What to Look for in a Care Home

By 7 September 2020Borough Care News

When choosing a care home for your loved one there are a lot of things to consider. Where do you even start?

Here at Borough Care we have over 30 years’ experience in the care sector. Drawing on our expertise we have created a simple checklist of questions that will help you explore the options and give you the confidence to make the right decision.

Our questions take into account practical issues such as location, care and cost. Just as importantly, they cover ethos, activities and style of care, which can really make the difference when it comes to finding a home your loved one will enjoy.

We believe everyone should be encouraged and supported to live their best possible life, whatever their age, health or capabilities. Moving into a care home shouldn’t be about settling into a grey existence, which is why our questions include a ‘Life in Colour’ section. This move is the next phase of life, and so the opportunities for activities, friendships and the independence to lead fulfilled and valuable lives can be just as important as the care provided.

If you’d like to find out more about our 11 care homes in Stockport, visit our website. All our care home managers can be contacted directly by phone or email, or you can also speak to our friendly team on 0161 475 0140. Whilst we are unable to give in-person tours of our homes due to the safety restrictions around the Covid 19 pandemic, we are open to new admissions.
