Employee Appreciation Initiative

Working in care can be hugely rewarding, but also extremely challenging at times. Every member of our team plays a vital role in delivering outstanding services and we know what a positive difference each person can make to the lives of those they care for. That’s why we’re proud of our Employee Appreciation initiative, which shines a light on some of these brilliant people.

Here are just some of our recent recipients, who were selected by the teams they work with for truly embodying Borough Care’s values.

Judith Burgess, Administrative Assistant, Meadway Court

Judith was absolutely over the moon that her colleagues put her forward for the initiative despite the fact that she works part time. Judith always makes the most of every minute.

Sharon Daniels, Care Assistant, Reinbek

Sharon is still in shock that she’s the one in the spotlight, as she thinks her colleagues all do an amazing job. But her ability to put a smile on the face of every resident made her stand out from the crowd.

Louise Grimes, Care Assistant, Bamford Close

Louise puts her success down to being cheerful; she thinks it’s so important to residents and staff alike. Her silliness, bubbly personality and daft dancing can lift anyone’s spirits!

Jayne Jackson, Senior Care Assistant, Wellcroft

Jayne has worked in care for an incredible 26 years and her colleagues at Wellcroft thought it was about time they showed her just how much they appreciate everything she does.

Claire Skepper, Acting Senior Care Assistant Cawood House

Completely overwhelmed, Claire told us she thinks it is lovely that she was nominated, and her advice to those looking for a career in care… simply smile and remember to laugh!

Joanne Tipping, Care Assistant, Silverdale

Joanne has ‘care’ in her blood. After adopting her children and caring for her parents, she decided to put her skills to good use at Borough Care. Nine years later, we’re so grateful Joanne decided to come and work with us.

All our stars received a personal thank you card from CEO Mark Ward and Chair of our Board Isla Wilson to show their appreciation.

Mark Ward, Borough Care CEO said: “Well done to the dedicated and hardworking staff that our Employee Appreciation Initiative has singled out so far. We know how hard our staff work, day and night, to create safe, comfortable and happy homes for our residents, so initiatives like this are really important to make sure even the small things don’t go unnoticed. I’m excited to see which of our team members are nominated next!”
